Future Tech: Amazing Student Projects
Speaker: Dr. Bill Wiecking, Director HPA Energy Lab, Hawaii Prep Academy
Date: Saturday, March 29, 2014
Time: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Just as Macworld/iWorld is all about what’s around the corner in technology, Future Tech is a session dedicated to innovative solutions and projects created by High School students. Regular Macworld/iWorld Conference folks may recall last year’s team flying a quad rotor by mind control over the audience in the rapid-fire sessions along with sessions on brain wave research, earthquakes and DNA. This year the team will return with six speakers on topics as diverse as MIDI-brain interfaces, Sleep Apnea studies, Aging patient music therapy with EEG, Tetris and your brain, and High Dynamic Range Virtual Reality using Phantom and other drones. The team will explain each project with detailed how-to instructions for researchers, DIY folks, teachers and students. Come with questions and prepare to be amazed.
